Module 10. Surge Vessel Level Control

Surge vessels are used to help reduce the effect of flow rate variations between interconnected process units. It is not necessary to maintain tight level control in a surge vessel, resulting in a significantly different control objective compared to that of the steam drum level controller of Module 9.
